Sakura Taisen V ~Saraba, Itoshiki Hito yo~ (Official English Title - Sakura Wars 5: So Long, My Love) has been confirmed for a (northern) Autumn release in the US for the PlayStation2 and Nintendo Wii, making it the first in the long running series to be released in English. The strategy RPG/dating sim hybrid first appeared in 1996 in Japan and has spawned 4 numbered sequels, several side stories and spin-offs, an anime OVA, Movie and TV series, novels and manga and a veritable truckload of other merchandise.

NIS America will be publishing the title which, despite being a numbered sequel, is able to stand on its own story-wise.
