For those of us counting the days to the next A-League season, a small ray of sunshine appeared with the release of the season schedule (available on the A-League website). 2008/09 is in the same basic format as previous seasons (21 rounds, everyone plays each other thrice, top 4 playoffs), but is slightly elongated by the addition of FIFA International breaks.

Details of the pre-season Cup have also been released, with some good news for Sydney FC fans: the side plays it’s three first up matches at Campbelltown, Gosford and Wollongong — easy trips for those wishing to attend all matches.
